Day 3 of the Camino Krk on Krk Island — hiking the coastal 'Paradise Road' from Malinska to Omišalj along the Adriatic, past the ancient Fulfinum-Mirine archaeological site.
This predominantly coastal stage takes you along the famous ‘Rajska cesta’ (Paradise Road), where the scent of pine needles and salt fills the air. It’s a relatively easy walk that showcases the northern beauty of the island. A significant highlight is the Fulfinum-Mirine complex—an ancient Roman city and early Christian basilica that offers a window into the island’s classical past. The day ends with an ascent to the clifftop town of Omišalj, offering breathtaking views of the Kvarner Bay.
Make sure to bring enough water and wear appropriate footwear. The trail is best experienced during spring or autumn.
The best vistas in Krk Island are far from the bus stops. Rent a car to reach the trailhead and explore at your own pace.
