Open guidehiking
Day 6 of the Camino Krk on Krk Island — the 'Queen Stage', a high-altitude outdoor hike across the Moon Plateau with panoramic Adriatic views to the dramatic Baška valley.
Undoubtedly the most spectacular stage of the Camino, Day 6 takes you high above the sea onto the legendary Moon Plateau. This lunar-like karst landscape offers panoramic views of the surrounding islands. The descent into the Baška valley is equally dramatic, leading you toward one of the island’s most beautiful beaches. It’s a physically taxing day, but the otherworldly beauty of the plateau makes every step worthwhile.
Make sure to bring enough water and wear appropriate footwear. The trail is best experienced during spring or autumn.
The best vistas in Krk Island are far from the bus stops. Rent a car to reach the trailhead and explore at your own pace.
